Prime smooth surfaces first; prime dark surfaces in a light colour – ideally white.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eApply with a brush, sponge or roller. Paint larger areas with a soft roller in 2–3 coats; let each coat dry before the next.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eSeveral thin coats glow more strongly than one thick coat. Outdoors and on furniture in everyday use, seal the dried coat with a solvent-based clear varnish.
