100 building bricks in the 2x4 stud format that glow in the dark. By day they are yellow; in the dark they glow green-yellow – for example for lit windows, lamps or vehicle lights. The bricks store sunlight or lamp light and then release it again – without batteries, cables or electronics.

How to use the glow bricks

  • Simply build them into existing models: as windows, lanterns, lamps, headlights or path markers.
  • To charge, place the finished model in sunlight or under a bright lamp for a few minutes, then darken the room.
  • Sunlight charges most strongly; room light gives a weaker glow.

Frequently asked questions

Are the bricks compatible with my existing building bricks?
Yes. The bricks have the common 2x4 stud format and can be combined with the widespread building brick systems.
How long do the bricks glow?
After charging in sunlight, clearly visible for around one hour in complete darkness. Once your eyes have adjusted to the dark, the glow can be perceived for up to two hours.
How do I charge the bricks?
Place the bricks or the finished model in direct sunlight or under a bright lamp for a few minutes. Sunlight charges most strongly; with normal room light the afterglow is weaker. This can be repeated as often as you like.
Can the glow wear off or flake off?
No, it cannot flake off: the glow pigment is inside the plastic itself and is not a coating. The bricks can be recharged with light again and again.
What age are the bricks suitable for?
From the age of 3. They are not suitable for children under the age of 3. The bricks are tested to EN 71 (parts 1–3), as required for toys.
