Mercury for your wall or ceiling: by day the round sticker shows the planet's surface with craters and canyons as a photorealistic print. As soon as the light goes out, the planet appears as a soft green glow.
Properties
- Motif: Mercury as a photorealistic print with craters and canyons
- Size: 30 cm diameter
- Material: self-adhesive vinyl film
- Glow: green, with strontium aluminate as the glow pigment; no electricity, cables or batteries
- Afterglow duration: several hours after full charging in complete darkness; still visible after 8 hours to eyes adjusted to the dark
- Charging: with daylight or lamplight, as often as you like
How to apply the sticker
- Clean the surface: it should be smooth, dry and free of dust and grease. Woodchip wallpaper works as long as the texture is not too coarse.
- Peel off the backing film, position the motif and smooth it down from the centre outwards. No drilling, tools or extra glue are needed.
- Before first use, hold it close to a bright lamp or in sunlight for about half a minute. Then switch off the light – the motif glows green.
Tip: For the strongest afterglow, place the sticker near a window or lamp. The brighter the light source when charging, the brighter and longer it glows.
What's included
1 glow-in-the-dark sticker “Mercury”, 30 cm diameter, in protective film packaging.
Good to know
Afterglow is decoration and an aid to orientation, not a light source: it only becomes visible in real darkness. It is at its strongest in the first few minutes, then gradually fades to a faint glimmer. Once your eyes have adjusted to the dark, it remains visible for much longer. Intended for indoor use. On heavily textured surfaces the sticker adheres less well than on smooth ones.
