With the glow spray, you apply the afterglow effect directly to the surface – no mixing required. Blue-Blue shows a bold blue in daylight and glows blue in the dark. As a strongly tinted shade, it glows more weakly and for a shorter time than the whitish Natural Blue. It is charged by daylight or lamplight, as often as you like.

Properties

  • Surfaces: wood, metal, stone, plastic and many more
  • Drying: touch-dry after 15–20 minutes, dry after 25–35 minutes
  • Coverage: approx. 3 m², depending on the surface and number of coats
  • Colour: bold blue by day, blue in the dark
  • Charging: with daylight or lamplight, fastest with UV light
  • Origin: Made in Germany

How to spray correctly

  1. Clean, degrease and dry the surface; lightly sand smooth surfaces. Mask off adjacent areas.
  2. Shake the can vigorously for one minute until you can hear the balls rattle; shake briefly again from time to time. Ideally work at 20 °C or above.
  3. Spray from a distance of about 30 cm, parallel to the surface, and keep moving evenly.
  4. Apply several thin coats rather than one thick one – this gives the strongest and longest glow.
  5. Afterwards, turn the can upside down and spray for 3 seconds to keep the nozzle clear.

Tip: On a white or light surface the spray glows much more strongly than on a dark one. Outdoors, cover it with a transparent acrylic or exterior varnish.

What's included

1 spray can containing 400 ml of glow spray Blue-Blue and an additional spray nozzle for finer application.

Good to know

The spray is an effect paint: the glow is visible in real darkness and does not replace lighting. Protect the pressurised container from sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C; do not spray onto a flame. Not for children under the age of 14. The safety instructions are printed on the can; you can download the safety data sheet from this page.

Frequently asked questions

How many coats do I need?
For a good glow, two to three thin coats. Each additional coat strengthens and extends the glow: the spray glows for several hours – the more coats and material, the longer. Let it dry briefly between coats.
Does the spray hold up outdoors?
Yes, with protection: cover the dried glow layer with a transparent acrylic or exterior varnish. Outdoors, the glow is only visible where it is really dark.
Why is my surface glowing faintly?
Usually it is down to the surface or too little material: dark surfaces absorb light. Prime in white first and spray several thin coats. To charge, shine a bright lamp or UV light directly onto it. In addition, Blue-Blue is strongly tinted and glows more weakly than Natural Blue.
What is the difference from Natural Blue?
Natural Blue is whitish by day and glows more strongly and for longer in the dark. Blue-Blue is a bold blue even by day, but in return glows more weakly and for a shorter time for technical reasons.
Which spray colour glows most strongly?
Natural Green and the other shades with a whitish daylight colour glow most strongly. Strongly tinted shades such as red, pink or purple glow more weakly and for a shorter time for technical reasons.
