With the glow spray you apply the afterglow effect directly to the surface – no mixing needed. Pink shows a strong colour in daylight and glows a warm orange in the dark. To be honest: for technical reasons, strongly tinted shades such as pink glow more weakly and for a shorter time than the whitish Natural shades – choose pink mainly for its daylight colour. It is charged by daylight or lamp light, as often as you like.

Properties

  • Surfaces: wood, metal, stone, plastic and many more
  • Drying: touch-dry after 15–20 minutes, dry after 25–35 minutes
  • Coverage: approx. 3 m², depending on the surface and number of coats
  • Colour: strong pink in daylight, a warm orange in the dark and considerably weaker
  • Charging: with daylight or lamp light, fastest with UV light
  • Origin: Made in Germany

How to spray

  1. Clean, degrease and dry the surface; lightly sand smooth surfaces. Mask off adjacent areas.
  2. Shake the can vigorously for one minute until you can hear the balls rattle; shake briefly again from time to time. Ideally work at 20 °C or above.
  3. Spray from a distance of about 30 cm parallel to the surface, moving evenly.
  4. Apply several thin coats instead of one thick one – this gives the strongest and longest glow.
  5. Afterwards turn the can upside down and spray for 3 seconds to keep the nozzle clear.

Tip: On a white or light surface the spray glows considerably more strongly than on a dark one. Outdoors, cover it with a transparent acrylic or exterior varnish.

What's included

1 spray can with 400 ml glow spray Pink and an additional spray head for finer application.

Good to know

The spray is an effect paint: the glow is visible in real darkness and does not replace lighting. Protect the pressurised container from sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C; do not spray onto a flame. Not suitable for children under 14. The safety information is on the can; you can download the safety data sheet from this page.

Frequently asked questions

How many coats do I need?
Two to three thin coats for a good glow. Each additional coat strengthens and extends the glow: the spray glows for several hours – the more coats and material, the longer. Let each coat dry briefly before applying the next.
Will the spray last outdoors?
Yes, with protection: cover the dried glow layer with a transparent acrylic or exterior varnish. Outdoors the glow is only visible where it is really dark.
Why does my surface glow only faintly?
Usually it comes down to the surface or too little material: dark surfaces absorb light. Prime white first and spray several thin coats. To charge, shine a bright lamp or UV light directly onto it. On top of that, pink is strongly tinted and glows more weakly than the Natural shades for technical reasons.
Does the spray also react to black light?
Yes. Under UV or black light the layer also fluoresces; the afterglow afterwards, however, is weaker for technical reasons than with the whitish Natural shades.
Which spray colour glows the strongest?
Natural Green and the other shades with a whitish daylight colour glow the strongest. Strongly tinted shades such as red, pink or purple glow more weakly and for a shorter time for technical reasons.
